Proposal of serial works

In order to include important moments of my production as well as a selection that allows me to cover all media used, I have made the following choice (described below), which will include photographs at the moment and the works themselves later on at the right time.

1. Audio-visual works (sequence of slides with sound)
DIMENSÕES – It is a kind of topology of an internal dimension projected into space, time and mainly speed, which results from the two former ones – “All we communicate to others is an orientation towards what is secret, without ever being able to tell the secret objectively” (Bachelard) (Rio de Janeiro, 1975).

2. Photograph works
Projeto 158 – The interferences in the dimensions of the face, which is elongated or shortened, indicates – through an ideology apparently glimpsed in a caricature – the relation of control by the exterior over people’s interior (Rio de Janeiro, 1976)

3. Video works
Marca registrada – In a crude manner, derived from an old traditional custom which is present in children’s games, the author sews on the sole of her own foot with a black thread the words MADE IN BRASIL (black and white – 11 minutes).
Preparação I – Relationship of the artist as an individual, through her body, with the political-social context and its consequences. Above all, the oppression and censure against to lucidity and speech are present. Both works are developed based on testimony; a meeting point of the paths in which the archeology of the present time transits (Rio de Janeiro, 1975).

4. Xerox works
A sequence of works from the series MULHERES and CASA. The proposal is included in the preceding thought.

5. Documentatiom of the experimental art exhibition named "Medidas"
Said exhibition was held in 1976 at Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro [Rio de Janeiro Museum of Modern Art]. A set of media was used: photograph, xerox, audiovisual, newspaper.

The purpose was to question and obtain an answer (testimonial), which included a written explanation in duly signed collective and individual reports.

The quantification constrained and hurt, since it affected the sensations, perceptions and imponderable limits. The external manifestation taken as the process trigger was the competition in its various aspects.
